Building cost index The index has been rising for the past six months as materials prices have recovered falls seen in the first half of 2009.

Mechanical cost index Mechanical materials prices, which have remained fairly flat for the last nine months, coupled with a wage freeze since October 2008, have kept the index relatively steady.

Electrical cost index Electrical costs continue to rise. A wage increase in January has combined with rising materials prices to generate the highest year-on-year increase for three years.

Consumer price inflation Consumer price inflation has been generally rising for the past six months.The largest contributory factor has been oil prices, which have driven up transport fuel costs.
