Davis Langdon Awarded Berkeley Art Museum Commission

Working alongside the University of California and EHDD Architecture, Davis Langdon is developing the construction budget cost model for the new 110,000 gross square foot Berkeley Art Museum which was designed by Toyo Ito & Associates.   The museum will house the collections of the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive and will be located in Berkeley’s “Arts District.”  The program includes 35,000 assignable square feet for galleries, 11,000 assignable square feet for three theaters/lecture halls with various seating capacities for 100-400 occupants, a film archive library, education classrooms, collection support space, and staff offices. Public amenity spaces will include a retail bookstore, restaurant and support areas to serve a roof-top space for events.
